General Manager

It all started in 1997, when Steve Holland decided to venture off on his own and start Holland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. Today, operating as Mr. Holland’s Home Services, Inc. growth and marketing dominance is in the air.

We are seeking an integrator General Manager to run the company. This position will require skills in working with a team of visionaries along with making sure that daily goals are met, financials are in order and that growth and profitability are number one priority.

Integrator is the person who is the tie breaker for the leadership team, is the glue for the organization, holds everything together, beats the drum (provides cadence), is accountable for the P&L results, executes the business plan, holds the Leadership team accountable, and is the steady force in the organization.”

Mr. Holland’s is a strong believer in a positive culture coupled with building a team of starts. As General Manager, you will be responsible to enhance the culture, add team members and build an amazing staff.

Responsibilities for General Manager:

  • Manage, coach and motivate all team members
  • Interact on all customer disputes, complaints and concerns
  • Write budget – annually
  • Facilitate monthly budget meetings
  • Monitor actual revenue to budget
  • Hold daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings
  • All staff members will report to you directly
  • Manage, coach and guide – Sales Team
  • Assist and monitor all marketing activity
  • Build goals program and development plans for all staff members
  • Monitor daily successes, weekly numbers and monthly numbers
  • Work with CSR’s to meet daily goals
  • Prevent the loss of opportunities
  • Be a GREAT motivator!

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • 5+ years in management
  • Adaptability, flexibility, integrity
  • Good communication skills and displays professionalism
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with high level of dedication
  • Positive culture awareness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the HVAC industry is a plus but not necessary
  • High integrity, honesty and ethics is a must! Adhere to company values and culture

Job Type: Full-time (8-5/7-4)

Experience: Computer Skills: 2+ years (preferred)

General Manager: 5 years as manager (preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Undergraduate degree in sales or business (preferred)
